Depop Fee Calculator
Depop's selling and boosting fees include the shipping cost only when you arrange shipping yourself; with a Depop label, shipping stays out of those fee bases.
Charged only if the buyer interacted with your boosted listing and then bought within 28 days. 12% in the UK and US (new listings from Mar 23, 2026), 8% in Australia and elsewhere.
What the item costs you, plus packing and anything else worth counting.

Where each fee comes from
- 1
The UK, US and Australia have no selling fee
Depop stopped charging selling fees in these three markets (Australia last, from 22 July 2026). What remains is the payment processing fee on Depop Payments, charged on the item price plus shipping and any taxes: 3.3% + $0.45 in the US, 2.9% + £0.30 in the UK, 2.6% + A$0.30 in Australia. On a $30 item that is about 4-6% all-in — a different world from Etsy or eBay.

Everywhere else, it is 10%
Sellers outside the UK, US and Australia pay a 10% selling fee on the item price — plus the shipping cost when you arrange shipping yourself. Processing runs through PayPal there, and PayPal's fee depends on your country and account, so this calculator shows the US rate as a placeholder.

Boosting costs nothing until it works
A boosted listing pays a fee only when the buyer interacted with the boost (viewed, clicked or liked it) and then bought within 28 days. That fee is 12% in the UK and US for listings from 23 March 2026, and 8% in Australia and the rest of the world, charged on the item price plus self-arranged shipping. If the buyer finds the item organically instead, no boosting fee applies.

What this tool leaves out
The cost of a Depop shipping label (its own expense), sales tax and VAT remittance, refunds and fee credits, and the buyer-side Marketplace fee are not part of the seller's per-sale math here. The calculator covers what lands on your payout: selling, processing and boosting.
Recent changes worth knowing
Depop's fee model has been stripped down market by market; the latest moves:
Australia: selling fee removed
Australia became the last of Depop's three home markets to drop the seller fee — 0% selling, 2.6% + A$0.30 processing. At the same time Australian buyers started paying a Marketplace fee of up to 5% + A$1 at checkout.
Boosted Listings fee set at 12%
For new listings in the UK and US, the boosting fee is 12% of the item price (plus self-arranged shipping) on attributed sales; Australia and other countries pay 8%. The interaction-plus-28-day rule still gates whether it is charged at all.
Depop is now part of eBay
eBay completed its acquisition of Depop from Etsy in 2026. No fee changes accompanied the move, but policy announcements are worth watching while the platforms integrate.
Questions
Does Depop really charge no selling fee?
For sellers based in the UK, the US and Australia, yes — the selling fee is 0%, and only the payment processing fee applies. Sellers elsewhere pay 10%. Older guides quoting '10% plus PayPal' describe the outside-UK/US/AU model or the pre-2024 setup.
What does the buyer pay on top?
Buyers in the UK, US and Australia pay a Marketplace fee of up to 5% of the item price plus a fixed amount of up to £/$1 (A$1 in Australia), shown at checkout. It does not come out of your payout, but it does raise the price buyers see against your listed price — worth knowing when you price to a round number.
When is the boosting fee actually charged?
Only when the buyer interacted with your boosted listing — viewed, clicked or liked it — and then purchased within 28 days. A sale from a purely organic discovery pays nothing, which makes boosting closer to risk-free than a subscription. A $100 boosted sale in the US costs $12 with self-arranged shipping; in Australia, $8.
Depop Payments or PayPal — does it change the math?
Depop Payments (via Stripe) is the default in the UK, US and Australia, and its fee is deducted from the payout automatically. Outside those markets, proceeds go through PayPal and PayPal charges its own processing fee, which varies — check your PayPal account for the real number.
Do fees include shipping?
Processing always includes the shipping the buyer pays, plus taxes. The selling and boosting fees include shipping only when you arrange shipping yourself rather than using a Depop label — the fee bases are defined that way in Depop's schedule.
What about taxes and refunds?
Taxes are collected on top and get included in the processing base, though they are remitted rather than kept. If an item is refunded, fees are credited back per Depop's policy — the sale simply doesn't happen financially, so don't price around refunded sales.
